Los Angeles Metro: Steampunk before there was punk
While looking for something else, I came across this rather fascinating article, with film, about Southern California Rapid Transit District's (the predecessor to LA Metro)
experiment with steam-powered buses in an attempt to cut down on air pollution.
Obviously they didn't go into fleet use, but it's still a rather interesting bit of history I'd never heard of before.
